Silt: Freshwater Edition
August 24 & 25
2026

Silt is an evening of performance. Through a public open call, artists are each provided with 15 minutes to present an action, event, performance. Silt was originally started for dance, movement, and performance artists; however, it is open to everyone regardless of artistic or personal identifications. The aim of Silt is to provide participants with an accessible low stakes stage for experimentation and expression.
If you experience any barriers to filling out the application please reach out to us at tuyavalecollective(at)gmail.com
As curators, we hope to support artists that have been underrepresented. We are excited by applications that express experimental or hard to define ideas. We value first iterations, rough draft ideas, and polished performances.
Application will close June 29
Silt will be held at Gerrard Art Space in East End Toronto. This venue is not fully accessible. There is 1 step leading into the space and about 10 stairs to access the basement washroom.

Silt is free to attend.
Silt is determined to be a recurring occurrence.
